Billed as the New Hard Target, new member Ryan Fleming, teamed up with Wes Breit and Dusty Bennet A.K.A Cymple Man to recreate the group, and they dropped their first video a few days ago, for the song “Get Out Of My Yard”, an ode to the Second Amendment. With a backtrack that combines country, hip-hop and some rock, the stern warning can’t go un-noticed.
Get Out My Yard
Better Leave Me Alone
Better Know My Rights
To Protect My Home
I’m impressed with the way this newly formed trio appears to have worked together for years, the differences in their style melds into a cohesive unit. Ryan Fleming starts the track off with a riff that reminds me of what Yelawolf would sound if he was a country rapper, and Cymple Man comes in to finish the track with another great verse that explains exactly what might happen if you trespass on his property. Both of these guys have skills, and producer Wes Breit shows he’s a professional grade producer.
The video is well produced, goes with the story, and I especially like the hall shots; almost reminds me of a Busta Rhyme’s Video went unplugged.
“Get Out My Yard” is a stellar debut from Hard Target, the kind of thing you’d expect to hear on a 2nd or 3rd album. These guys have a good bit of experience on their own, but together, Get Target is set to make its mark, and hopefully sell a lot of music in the process.
